28 Sep 2009 : Welcome to our new coach Hayley Biddle
I am very pleased to inform you all that Hayley Biddle is joining our coaching team. Hayley is 23 years old, and yes if you were thinking you recognised the surname, you’re right it is Chris’ sister. Hayley has passed her level 2 coaching exam and is currently undertaking her DCA. Hayley is currently working full-time but is hoping to build her tennis coaching hours up and become a full-time coach along with the rest of our team. Hayley has had a world ranking so obviously has had first-hand experience at the highest level.

All players having coaching with Hayley will still be 100% involved with St Leonards & St Ives Tennis Club, but because of a lack of court space will be based mainly in West Moors. There are 2 public courts which have recently been re-surfaced and are floodlit, which Hayley has the use of through West Moors Parish Council.

For lessons with Hayley please call 07815 761310.

All of our coaches are trained, qualified, licensed coaches, CRB checked and first aid trained.
Please note prices for lessons are as follows:

Paul Handford – CCA qualified = £20 / hour
Chris Biddle – DCA qualified = £18 / hour
Carl Shoulders – Level 2 = £12 / hour
Hayley Biddle – DCA (currently taking qualification) = £17 / hour

Please note an additional charge of £2 per hour is in place if the floodlights are needed. Players must be a member of the tennis club to have one-to-one coaching, or there is a non-members court hire charge. Players MUST also train in at least one group lesson to be able to have one-to-one lessons. Players that represent club teams or compete in local competition will be given priority for one-to-one coaching after school hours. In the case of cancellation, the coaches need a minimum of 24 hours notice, otherwise you will still be charged for the lesson. It is our livelihood at the end of the day.

It doesn’t matter how old you are, or how much you have played, one-to-one coaching is by far the best way to improve your game, so get yourself booked in, otherwise you’ll miss out!!!
